Fly Fishing Louisiana Bull Redfish with Capt. Doug Henderson – VIDEO
Capt. Doug Henderson with Salted Flats Fly Fishing gives Angler’s a detailed description of a day Fly Fishing for Trophy Louisiana Bull Redfish.
Fun Fish day in early February
A fun day exploring new territory of the Louisiana Marsh with Capt. Rocky yielded some great finds. We found long shorelines with all the recipes that make the Big Bull Redfish of the Louisiana Marsh tic. Exploring these water’s is what being a New Orleans Redfish Guide is all about. This fishery is so vast one person will never see it all. I love just getting up on the Polling Platform and staying there all day in brand new zones. We definitely found what we set out to find! Never stop broadening your knowledge of the water’s you frequent there is always something else out there you’ve not thought of or seen. Enjoy the pics! Captain Doug Henderson
New Orleans a Destination Fly Fishery
Cloudy Day on the Marsh but clear water. Fish are still feeding late but we managed to convince a few after 3pm that they were hungry! Pretty cool release shot! Enjoy. Capt. Doug Henderson
New Orleans Fly Fishing Trips
The fish fed late today but do too shear numbers as in over 150 shot’s we manages to hook a few! It was a fun day to be Fly Fishing Louisiana! Blue Sky’s and crystal clear water helped us not miss a single opportunity. Winter Fly Fishing in Louisiana out of New Orleans just provides the Angler with clear water and loads of Bull Redfish! Blue Sky’s and Giant Louisiana Bull Redfish
Well the last 4 day’s we have had a bit of a breeze problem. Today that was not an issue as the winds laid down just right last evening allowing for the waters off the Louisiana Coast to clear perfectly! Warming water temps accompanied by blue sky’s made sight fishing an absolute blast today. My Angler had an early engagement in New Orleans today so we only fished till 12:40. But that was all it took to hook and land the Bull Redfish in these pics. The fish were working the Flats in big numbers with us not experiencing much time between shots at fish all in the 25 and up pound range! Enjoy the Pics! Capt. Doug Henderson
Louisiana Inshore Redfish Expeditions
Nothing like clear cold day’s on the Biloxi Marsh in Louisiana! Fish were floating well today with lot’s of shot’s at some monster Redfish. The wind subsided nicely after the last few of 30+ mph gusts. It was a nice surprise to see that the water was still super clear and ideal for sight fishing. Looking forward to tomorrow and some more Floating Pumpkins! Capt. Doug Henderson
Fly Fishing New Orleans Bull Redfish
Had a blast Fly Fishing John the last few day’s! Lot’s and lot’s of shots at the Redfish as they were floating and riding high almost everywhere we fished. Not that that matter’s because the water is still crystal clear in and surrounding South East Louisiana. Looking forward to the rest of the season as the Marsh is slap full of Monster Bull’s just waiting to be Sight Fished! Captain Doug Henderson
New Orleans Inshore Fishing Charters
We got to fish in the clouds and some rain today but still a bunch of shot’s at Stud Bull Redfish! The crystal clear water and white sandy bottom of the Biloxi Marsh make tough weather day’s totally doable. The shear immense size of our Redfish doesn’t hurt either… Capt. Doug Henderson
Flats Fishing for Redfish out of New Orleans
Had another big day with Doc and Chris. We basically had endless opportunities for Bull Redfish today on the super clear water’s of the Louisiana Gulf Coast. I love wintertime Redfish season in Louisiana from October to the end of March! Looking forward to tomorrow! Captain Doug Henderson
Louisiana Flats Fishing Guide
A big day on the Marsh with the Hagness Boy’s from Wisconsin! Despite lot’s of clouds we managed to have a pretty awesome morning and afternoon with the Bull Redfish really turning on during the Tide Rise of the afternoon. Chris caught a personal best of 30 pounds! Congrats to him! The water is perfectly clear with good numbers of fish and we have several more day’s together in the Biloxi Marsh… Captain Doug Henderson
