Really enjoying the time leading up to Tarpon season in Northwest Florida with lot’s of high pressure and a perfectly clear atmosphere. I spent the morning cruising up in some of the many rivers we have here to have a look at the abundant wildlife enjoying the weather as I did. The air temp was 60 degrees but in the sun it was much warmer as you see the Alligators were covering all sun lit banks. I had many opportunities at Night Heron’s of both species the Black and Yellow Crowned. I noticed the water temps are rising nicely so it won’t be long now. Enjoy the pics!
A fun day exploring new territory of the Louisiana Marsh with Capt. Rocky yielded some great finds. We found long shorelines with all the recipes that make the Big Bull Redfish of the Louisiana Marsh tic. Exploring these water’s is what being a New Orleans Redfish Guide is all about. This fishery is so vast one person will never see it all. I love just getting up on the Polling Platform and staying there all day in brand new zones. We definitely found what we set out to find! Never stop broadening your knowledge of the water’s you frequent there is always something else out there you’ve not thought of or seen. Enjoy the pics!
Well the last 4 day’s we have had a bit of a breeze problem. Today that was not an issue as the winds laid down just right last evening allowing for the waters off the Louisiana Coast to clear perfectly! Warming water temps accompanied by blue sky’s made sight fishing an absolute blast today. My Angler had an early engagement in New Orleans today so we only fished till 12:40. But that was all it took to hook and land the Bull Redfish in these pics. The fish were working the Flats in big numbers with us not experiencing much time between shots at fish all in the 25 and up pound range! Enjoy the Pics! Capt. Doug Henderson

Nothing like clear cold day’s on the Biloxi Marsh in Louisiana! Fish were floating well today with lot’s of shot’s at some monster Redfish. The wind subsided nicely after the last few of 30+ mph gusts. It was a nice surprise to see that the water was still super clear and ideal for sight fishing. Looking forward to tomorrow and some more Floating Pumpkins!
