New Orleans, Louisiana Fly Fishing
I had John and Keven from Nashville on the boat today. We polled the waters of the Louisiana Marsh in search of Bull Redfish and we found loads of them!! The Redfish were crawling the shorelines in 12 inches of water almost everywhere we polled! The fish ranged in size of 24 pounds to the upper 30′s with a shot at 1 fish that REAL BIG! The Louisiana Marsh is fishing very well as the waters warm a bit the fish are really actively feeding. The last shoreline we fished offered a tailing Bull Redfish every hundred feet!! We pulled a 29.5 pounder from that zone. The guy’s are staying in the French Quarter this evening for some early Mardi Gras action on Bourbon St. and some New Orleans food from GW Finns.
