Jumping Tarpon off Carrabelle, Florida
Late June and early July have proved themselves to be a great time to come and sight cast to monster Tarpon off the coast of Carrabelle, Apalachicola, and Alligator Point, FL. We have been experiencing high numbers of eats (bites) per day with and average of 4-7 fish caught. This continues to happen all the way into August! We have not yet experienced much rain this summer so the water off the Forgotten Coast of Florida continues to be Gin clear! Tight Lines
Fly Fishing for Migratory Tarpon in Apalachicola
The Tarpon fishing off Carrabelle, Apalachicola, and Mexico Beach has been gangbusters for the last few weeks as the true Migration has really been moving through our waters. We have been seeing in excess of a hundred fish per day!! The Tarpon have really been eating well for how clear the water is!! The water is as clear as I’ve seen it in years which can make it difficult to feed the fish just like the locations in the Florida Keys and Boca Grande. These fish don’t care though they Haven’t seen a fly in over a month of their migration they are chewing! We have been catching up to 7 fish daily and feeding many more! I love this time of year! Here are some pics of a few fish from the other morning. Tight Lines

The excitement for the Tarpon migration is growing by the moment! Keep an eye on the journal for their will be pics of POON soon!!
