Fly Fishing redfish in Louisiana

The fall season will quickly be upon us as we near the end of August.  The weather will make a turn for the less volatile and cooler temps.  In other words the late summer afternoon thunderstorms will not be a daily occurrence allowing for less worry of being run off the water.  This time of year the Louisiana Redfish move into the marsh in large spawning schools which can make for a fun sight fishing opportunity for fly anglers.  We alway’s sight fish the Louisiana Bull redfish but to see the these huge spawning schools will blow your mind.  I like to start fishing the marsh in October.  The water has started to clear by this time making sight fishing for these 30+ pound bull redfish very enjoyable.  Salted Flats Fly Fishing has been successfully guiding and fly fishing the waters of the Louisiana marsh for over a decade.  Come to Louisiana to fly fish for monster bull redfish larger than any other location and enjoy New Orleans for it’s food/nightlife.  Trips available October – March.
